Suspicious Death Under Investigation in Cranes Mill Area of Canyon Lake
Comal County Sheriff’s Investigators spent yesterday at the scene of what’s being described as a suspicious death outside of a group of mobile homes in the Cranes Mill area near Canyon Lake. Late Wednesday the body of 28-year old Charles Woodard was found outside the mobile homes in the 94-hundred block of FM 2673, in the Cranes Mill area. Deputies immediately put up crime scene tape and began investigating the man’s death. The Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, a retro-fitted ambulance, was also called to the scene, and investigators spent all of Thursday collecting evidence. The details surrounding the man’s death have so far not been released, other than that the man’s family has been notified, and that the death is considered suspicious and is under investigation.
