NWS: Wintry Mix Could Be On the Way for New Braunfels and the Rest of South-Central Texas
It looks like we’re in for a wet, cold week, with a cold front heading in today. We’re looking at patchy fog and drizzle this morning, and then a 50% chance for showers and thunderstorms through mid-day, with a high 65. Then a cold front will begin to push through late this afternoon into this evening, and that will push out the rain, and drop temperatures down to 36 overnight, with strong winds topping 25mph. Tomorrow will just be cloudy, windy, and cool with a high of 48 and a low near freezing. Then on Wednesday, we’ll see a 30% chance for rain, freezing rain, sleet, or snow, with a continued 40% chance for that freezing mix overnight. And that means Thursday morning will be the time we really need to watch for impact to local roads.
