(Bulverde, TX) -- More details have been released following the Bulverde area crash that injured 4 people and killed a 7-year old San Antonio girl.

As we previously reported, the crash happened around 3:30pm Monday in the far western part of Comal County, in the 27-thousand block of Hwy 46 West at Blanco Road.

Bulverde Police say a minivan, carrying a family of 5, was traveling north on Blanco road, coming from San Antonio. After coming to a stop at the intersection, the minivan was turning left onto Hwy 46, apparently without seeing a Jeep that was heading east on 46. The Jeep struck the driver’s side of the minivan, broad-siding the vehicle and killed 7-year old Amber Navarro, who was riding in the rear passenger seat area of the minivan.

Two other children, ages 4 and 6, were airlifted to University Hospital in San Antonio in critical condition. The adult driver and adult front seat passenger of the minivan were also taken to University Hospital by ground EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

The occupants of the Jeep were treated at the scene by Bulverde/Spring Branch EMS and released with only minor injuries.

Bulverde Police say that no charges are being filed at this time, but the crash remains under investigation.

Initial reports show that all of the occupants of the minivan were either in safety belts or car safety seats at the time of the crash.
