San Antonio Brothers Wanted In Sexual Assault Case Arrested
(New Braunfels, TX) -- The two San Antonio brothers wanted for the aggravated sexual assault of an 11-year old girl and 12 year old girl (both from New Braunfels) have been arrested.
On Friday, New Braunfels Police confirmed that both 18-year old Jonathan Emanuel Vargas and 23-year old Jose Luis Vargas Jr. of San Antonio were arrested on charges of 1st degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The brothers are accused of meeting the two young girls on the evening of Dec. 27th, 2011here in New Braunfels after striking up a relationship with them on Facebook. They arranged to meet the girls at the Faust Street Bridge for sex, and when they arrived, police say 23-year old Jose Luis Vargas escorted the 11-year old under the bridge and had sex with her, while 18-year old Jonathan Vargas allegedly had sex with the 12-year old girl in the brother’s van.
It was after the two men left that one of the females made an outcry to New Braunfels Police, who say that no matter whether the girls consented to the sex or not, they are not of an age to give legal consent.
The 18-year old brother was arrested Friday morning at a family member’s residence in the 700 block of State Hwy 46 South and taken to the Comal County Jail where bond was set at 75-thousand dollars. 23-year old Jose Luis Vargas Jr. was arrested Friday afternoon by San Antonio Police and taken to the Bexar County Jail.
Both arrests were made with the help of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force.

San Antonio Brothers Wanted In Sexual Assault Case Arrested
I have no problem with the 2 boys being charged with a 1st Degree Felony since they were aware that the girls were under the age of consent and that it was illegal to have sexual relations with them. I also think that the 2 girls should be charged with a crime as well or at least punished in some fashion for soliciting themselves on Facebook in the first place. It is amazing how young children are now-a-days when they try or succeed in having these types of relations with adults. The Adults deserve to get the full punishment of the law regardless of who initiates the contact as they know better and I think they are just taking advantage of the children who really have no idea what they are getting into when they solicit any type of contact with adults on the Internet.
