President Obama To Visit SA and Austin Tomorrow
The American Statesman reports that President Barack Obama will be in Texas tomorrow for a whirlwind series of fundraisers that could generate a record amount from Texas Democrats for his presidential campaign. The President will first fly into San Antonio for a pair of events and will then head to Austin for two more. In San Antonio, President Obama is scheduled to make an appearance at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center followed by a high-dollar fundraiser hosted by lawyer Mikal Watts. And in Austin, the President will first attend a fundraiser hosted by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender Leadership Council at Austin Music Hall before heading to another fundraiser hosted by former Dell Finance Chief Tom Meredith (where the price of admission is reportedly 25-thousand dollars per person. According to the Statesman, the President’s trip to the Lone Star State could raise upwards of 2-million dollars in just one day.
