NWS: Cold Front Could Bring Showers and Storms This Week

(New Braunfels, TX)  --  All this warm, moisture-filled Gulf coast air that’s been pouring into the region over the weekend is setting South-Central Texas up for some solid rain chances over the next two days as another cold front heads our direction.  For today, we’re expecting mostly cloudy skies, warm gusty winds, and a high topping 80.

But as the leading edge of a cold front starts to push all that warm air back towards the Gulf, it will likely trigger some scattered showers and thunderstorms.  We could see a few of those today, but by midnight tonight our rain chances shoot up to 40%, followed by a 50% chance for storms tomorrow, along with gusty winds and cooler temperatures.

We’ll wake up Wednesday to temperatures in the 40’s and our high Wednesday won’t break 70.  Similar temperatures on Thursday will lead to a warm up heading into next weekend, where we’ll be back to temperatures nearing 80 degrees.
