Moczygemba Becomes the NBISD’s Next Superintedent By a Unanimous Vote
Becoming the 3rd superintendent in the NBISD in the last 4 years, Assistant Superintendent Randy Moczygemba was officially hired as the district’s next leader at last night’s NBISD School Board meeting. Moczyegemba was greeted with a round of applause and a standing ovation as he was officially hired last night at the school board meeting by a unanimous vote. Moczygemba immediately stepped into that role, taking over for outgoing Superintendent Mike Smith, who resigned earlier this year. And School Board president Greg Schlather says the transition will be smooth, with Moczygemba and Smith working together through the end of this school year, with Smith taking on an Assistant Superintendent role. Moczyegemba’s contract as Superintendent now runs until June of 2013. The next school board meeting won’t be until next year, on January 18th.
