Kyle Man, Accused Of Abusing Girlfriend Facing Sexual Assault Charges
The Hays Free Press reports that a Kyle man has been indicted on 1st degree sexual assault charges. 26-year old August Palermo of Kyle is accused of beating and sexually assaulting his 18-year-old girlfriend. Palermo reportedly let the teenager move into his Plum Creek home, where he then abused her. Prosecutors say that when the victim tried to end the relationship this past March, Palermo allegedly attacked her and strangled her before taunting her with a knife, threatening to kill her. Palermo now faces 2 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, plus sexual assault, and family violence assault with strangulation. He remains in custody at the Hays County Jail a 200-thousand dollar bond.
