ELECTION RESULTS: Texas Primary Run-Off Election
(New Braunfels, TX) -- The voting is over and the counting has begun. After Texas was forced to move its primary election day away from March because a redistricting battle that went all the way to the Supreme Court, voters finally went to the polls in May to decide on key county, state, and federal races.
But in many of those cases, there were more than 2 candidates, making it more difficult for one of those candidates to secure more than 50% of the vote in that election. And that leads us to today’s run-off election where the top two vote getters in those races are now squaring off in order to get their party’s nomination heading into the general election…which is just 3 short months away in November.
