(New Braunfels, TX) -- Get ready for more retail, commercial, and residential development in and around the Creekside Shopping Center. Marketwire reports that the Creekside development will be seeing some significant growth in the coming year.
The 600-acre shopping center, located at I-35 and FM 306, already features national retail stores like Target, Best Buy, JC Penny, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ross Dress for Less, and PetSmart. But a new wave of retailers will apparently open up shop by May of 2013.
Among the new stores to be added in Phase II of that development: Ulta Beauty and Cosmetics, TJ Maxx, Spec's Liquors and Fine Foods, and Charming Charlie. And in the 3rd Quarter of 2013, a 95-thousand square foot Belk Department Store will reportedly open at Creekside.
The largest development underway is The Mansions at Creekside, a luxury apartment community which is currently under construction. That 35-million dollar multi-family community will have approximately 400 units with a water park and a children's activity area. The apartment complex is scheduled to be complete in 2013.
Of course, Resolute Health is constructing a 56-acre health and wellness campus at Creekside, closer to FM 1101 ( artist's rendering, left). That campus will offer various health and wellness related facilities including physician offices, an integrated fitness center, walking trails, and health-related retail in addition to the hospital. The hospital itself will open in early 2014 with about 120 beds, with the ability to expand to over 300 beds in the future.
And Christus Santa Rosa is constructing a 12-thousand-square-foot 24-hour emergency center in that same area, directly behind Buc-ee’s.
