(New Braunfels, TX) -- A New Braunfels man has been named as a suspect in the theft of around 28-thousand dollars worth of musical instruments and equipment taken last month in front of a local hotel, and now a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

New Braunfels Police say 42-year old Maurice Chad Paladino is the prime suspect in that theft, which happened on Friday June 15th.

A U-Haul trailer full with a country music band’s musical instruments and equipment was stolen from in front of the Baymont Inn and Suites in the 900 block of I-35 North.

Danielle Reed and her band had just played a gig at the River Road Ice House, and the truck pulling the trailer had parked outside of the hotel around 2:30 that Friday morning. But when the owner came out of his hotel room around 10:40am he immediately noticed that the trailer was missing and he called 911.

According to initial reports, the equipment in the trailer included 5 guitars, 4 amplifiers, a pedal board, a Yamaha custom oak drum set, and other related equipment totaling just shy of 28-thousand dollars in property.

Investigators say that after following up on leads and tips, they have been able to identify a suspect in that 3rd degree felony theft, and an arrest warrant for Paladino was issued at the end of last week, with a 20-thousand dollar bond attached to it.

The 42-year old suspect is described as a white male, 5’ 11” tall, weighing 175-pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call New Braunfels Police at 221-4100 or call Crimestoppers anonymously at 620-TIPS.
