The Canyon Lake Hawks who are 19-9 on the season and coming off a huge 3 game sweep of the 8th ranked Burnet Bulldogs on Tuesday now they get set to finally begin district 30-3A play this evening. The Texas Rangers managed to survive a late comeback holding off the Oakland A’s late for a 9-8 win last night. Hank Blaylock provided the offensive punch driving in 4, with two RBI doubles, and a 2 run home run. The New Braunfels Independent School Board passed a motion by a vote of 4-2 to approve the adding of wrestling as a UIL sanctioned sport at New Braunfels High School.

The MRI finally came back yesterday on Dallas Cowboys Running Back Marion Barber’s quadriceps. Barber underwent treatment yesterday but says he still hopes to play Monday night against the Carolina Panthers. KXAS-TV in Dallas reported the Barber would miss 1-2 weeks, but the Cowboys organization calls Barber day-to-day.
