Guadalupe County Changes Voting Locations for Multiple Precincts in the March Primary
Elections officials in Guadalupe County say that they have changed some polling locations ahead of the March Primary election, and they want Guadalupe County voters to know about the changes well ahead of Election Day. The changes specifically affect voters in the Schertz-Cibolo area and the New Braunfels area of Guadalupe County. They say rapid growth in the I-35 corridor has caused them to divide some voting precincts into smaller sections in order to comply with the max number of voters in any one precinct, as laid out by state law. So if you live in Schertz, Cibolo, or New Braunfels, but also in Guadalupe County, then you need to look at your voter registration card.
- If you’re voting precinct says 303, then you will no longer vote at the Schertz Community Center, and instead will vote at the Elections Office Annex on Elbel Road in Schertz.
- If you’re in Pct. 306, then you vote Schlather Intermediate School in Cibolo.
- Pct. 308, which is a new precinct created when 306 got too big, will now vote at the Schertz United Methodist Church on Roy Richard Drive in Schertz.
In the New Braunfels area, Pct. 402 has now been divided, creating a new Pct. 408.
- If you are still in Pct. 402, then you no longer vote at Hilltop Country Church, and instead will vote at Grace Memorial Church on FM 725.
- If you’re in the new Pct. 408, then you vote at Celebrate Life church, also on FM 725.
Of course, you can skip all of this confusion, and instead vote early at one of only a handful of locations. To see the Early Voting Schedule and Locations, log on to the Guadalupe County Elections Office website: http://guadalupe-elections.com
